Habitat for Humility: A BDSM Housing Project

I am proud to announce the launch of a new philanthropic organization dedicated to keeping kink off the streets.

“I don’t see how a dom or a sub can enjoy other human rights like freedom of expression, freedom of speech, freedom of religion, the right to vote, if they live in a disreputable place of which they are ashamed and makes them lower their standard of ethical and moral values.”Jimmy Carter

There is an elephant in the room. It is bound in leather straps and is hanging from the ceiling with a gag in its throat. It’s trunk is duct-taped to the back of its head and it makes an awful noise that vacillates between pleasure and pain. And also, it needs a place to live in privacy and dignity like everyone else.

Maybe that elephant is the neighbor boy who ran away, or maybe it is your daughter. Either way, it could be any of ours, or any of us. Nobody chooses the kink, the kink chooses us, and for those who are chosen it can be a hard road. And with the vast wealth humanity has created, there is no reason anyone should have to carry their own load.

The sex workers of the world provide an outlet which has been shunned and criminalized by some of the very same hypocrites that enjoy these services the most. While senators and supreme justices gorge their sexual appetites on low paid sex workers, they also put their elbow grease into a system which deprives them of their basic agency, dignity and prosperity. And often the more powerful the oligarch, the more perverse and insatiable their kink. The prohibition of sex work has been a scheme by which the clients have punished their providers through legislation and its violent enforcement, while forcing them into greater acts of humiliation at lower and lower rates. And they have used this system to alienate, disenfranchise and dispose of witnesses against their public personas.

It is not enough just to decriminalize sex work and offer public services and protections to sex workers, we must reimburse their misery at the hands of our societal hypocrisy through acts of genuinely meaningful reparations.

In other words, it is time to give those who were forced to fuck outside of the box, a box of their own to fuck safely within.

In the immortal words of J. Edgar Hoover:

“Think inside my buns.”
